Online Directory of Human Services Programs Now Available
CCE introduces new tool to help students identify the best human services educational programs and professional credentialing options.
The Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE) announces the creation of a comprehensive online directory of human services education programs.
According to CCE Executive Vice President Shawn O’Brien, the directory offers the first online platform where students can view the full scope of their educational options in human services. In addition, it enables students to compare multiple human services programs on a single Web site. Program representatives can update their listings in real time, giving students access to the most current program information.
O’Brien adds that the strong job outlook in the human services field makes the launch of this new human services directory very timely. The number of social and human services positions is expected to grow by nearly 23 percent between 2008 and 2018-considerably more than the average for all occupations. This is largely due to the aging population and increased demand for mental health and substance abuse treatment, according to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2010-11 edition.
With the number of human services jobs expected to climb rapidly, credentials such as the Human Services-Board Certified Practitioner (HS-BCP) can help students launch their careers. This new online directory will connect students with the training opportunities needed to obtain such credentials. The new directory makes the search for human services programs faster, easier and less cumbersome for the prospective student.
The human services directory is located at www.JobDelineation.com/HS-BCP/
